Cheese & Spinach Savoury Tarts

These tarts make wonderful appetisers and are perfect for a buffet at an event.

Yield: 6-8 Tarts


Ingredients

  • 300g Short Crust Pastry
  • 100 g Yellow Road Bakestable Cheese Filling
  • 100g Yellow Road Low Melt Diced Processed Cheese
  • Chopped Jalapenos to taste (optional)
  • 50 g Diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 50g Diced Peppers (optional)
  • 50 g Chopped spinach
  • Handful of Parsley (finely chopped)
  • Paprika, salt & pepper to taste
  • Tartlet tins or cupcake tray

Directions

  1. Roll the pastry out on a lightly floured surface until very thin. Cut out circles that are larger in diameter than the tartlet tins. Line the tins with the pastry circles. Re-roll any pastry offcuts until you’ve lined all the tins, then chill for 30 mins.
  2. Preheat oven to 180 °C
  3. Put the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well to combine.
  4. Divide the filling between the tartlets
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 15 – 20 mins until golden.
